According to The Hollywood Reporter, Julie Benz has joined the cast of
SAW V, the next outing in the annual horror franchise. For those of you
that don't know, Benz is a co-star in Showtime's serial-killer drama DEXTER
(one of our favorite shows) and she recently appeared in theatres with
RAMBO. She's also appearing in the upcoming sequel PUNISHER: WAR ZONE.
In Saw V Benz plays a Brit with clothes and hair too proper and elegant to
be a pawn in the latest games of Jigsaw. Production on the film began
March 17 in Toronto; an October 24 release is planned via Lionsgate.
David Hackl -- the production designer on the previous three SAW films --
is directing. Julie Benz joins fellow cast members Tobin Bell, Costas
Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Mark Rolston and Samantha Lemole.
