According to DVDActive, Warner Home Video has sent over early
details on the DVD release of the FUNNY GAMES remake, which stars
Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, and Michael Pitt. In this exploration of our
violent society and how depictions of violence reflect and shape our
culture, a middle-class housewife Anna tells the story of how she
and her husband George and their 10-year-old son Georgie submitted
both physically and mentally to the torture, violence, and death
foisted upon them by two young, unexpected, white-gloved visitors
at their weekend vacation retreat near a lake.
The Michael Haneke directed horror will be available to own on June
10th, and should retail at around $27.95. The film itself will be
presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English
Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. We have no word on any extra
material for this one, but we'll let you know just as soon as we hear
