Word on the street is that the release date for Clive Barker's MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN has
been changed. Actually, it's been scrapped, and we don't know when the film will be
released. According to Fangoria, the release date is "in flux" and it could be released
anytime this year. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long.

A new release date has been set for Clive Barker's MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. Expect the
movie to hit theatres on May 16th next year.

A few days ago we uploaded the trailer for Clive Barker's MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, but at
the request of Lionsgate we had to pull it. Apparently the trailer was released to the
public a little too early, but now it has been spotted online once again. This time if you
head over to FEARnet you can check out the trailer for the film. We'll be uploading the
trailer again on our youtube page once we get it.

A new picture from Clive Barker's MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN has appeared online. The movie
adaptation of MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN sets Leon Kaufman, the central character, as a
professional photographer seeking out the hidden nightlife of the city he loves. The
production office remain coy as to details but, to "flesh out" the increasingly grittier
images of the city, the production team have called on the services of producer /
photographer Eric Reid to supply images of the city's nocturnal inhabitants at work and at
play...With kind thanks to all at Seraphim, we now have the opportunity to showcase a
number of these photographs - the first of which is below... These are not on-set
production photos, but will certainly feature as the movie's narrative unfolds...
The horror thriller, MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN stars Bradley Coope, Brooke Shields, and Leslie
Bibb. Also starring are Roger Bart, Peter Jacobson, Barbara Eve Harris, and UFC mixed
martial arts fighter Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is directed by
critically acclaimed Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura (VERSUS) in his American debut,
and based on legendary horror writer Clive Barker’s popular, eponymous short story from
his classic Books of Blood collection. The screenplay was adapted by Jeff Buhler.
Lakeshore Entertainment's Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi, Richard Wright and Eric Reid are
producing the film with David Rubin serving as executive producer, and Beth DePatie co-
producing. THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is a production of Lakeshore Entertainment and will
be released in North America by Lionsgate.

Twitch got a hold of a picture from Clive Barker's THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. In the shot
you'll see actor Vinnie Jones in a suit. According to Twitch, Ryuhei Kitamura's adaptation
of Clive Barker's short story continues to rumbling down the tracks, bringing the VERSUS
director's stated goal of being a Hollywood director ever closer to reality, and materials
from the film are starting to trickle out.

Fangoria got a hold of the first behind the scenes pictures from Clive Barker's THE
MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. In the picture right next to Barker himself is the director, Ryuhei
Kitumara (VERSUS, DEATH TRANCE). Lionsgate has set a release for the first quarter of
2008.

According to Variety, Lakeshore Entertainment has set Vinnie Jones, Bradley Cooper,
Brooke Shields and Leslie Bibb to hop aboard THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. The adaptation
of the story from Clive Barker's "Books of Blood" collection will be directed by Ryuhei
Kitumara. Shooting begins in Los Angeles on March 18. Jones will play a serial killer who
stalks the subways looking for victims. Cooper plays a struggling photographer who
decides that tracking down and capturing "the subway butcher" on film will improve his
fortunes. Shields plays an art gallery owner who befriends the photog, and Bibb will play
his girlfriend. Lionsgate will release the pic in North America.

According to Variety, Bradley Cooper will topline MIDNIGHT TRAIN, based on Clive Barker's
tale about murderous mayhem on the Gotham subway. Lakeshore and Lionsgate are
producing the pic, with Lionsgate on board to distribute. Lensing is set to begin this
winter. "Train" is based on Barker's short story "Midnight Meat Train," published in his
popular "Books of Blood" series. It centers on a photographer on the trail of a serial killer
who operates in the subway system.
Pic has also attached Asian horror director Ryuhei Kitamura, replacing Patrick Tatopoulos,
who fell off the project. Cooper, a former "Alias" star, has starred in a number of Hollywood
pics, including comedy hit "The Wedding Crashers." In the spring he had a turn on
Broadway opposite Julia Roberts in "Three Days of Rain." He is also starring in CASE 39, a
Par thriller starring Renee Zellweger which is currently in production.
