Lionsgate is making it very clear: October is the month for SAW! Despite being having five
sequels being release every year, the franchise just continues to grow. The company
plays it smart by keeping these films at a low budget, therefor it makes millions at the box
office. SAW fans just can't get enough of the traps, the characters and its hopeful
message. The latest in the saga, "SAW V" is set to hit theatres on October 24. If you

The first official poster for SAW V has made its way online. As expected, it's a little weird.
In the movie forensics expert Hoffman (Mandylor) goes on the hunt in order to protect the
secret that he is the newest person to carry on Jigsaw's legacy. The film is being written
once again by Patrick Melton & Marcus Dunstan (FEAST) and it also marks David Hackl's
directorial debut, after serving as production designer and second unit director for the
previous three films. The film stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Petterson, Betsy
Russell, Julie Benz, Meagan Good, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Greg Bryk and Laura Gordon.
Expect Jigsaw to make his mark on October 24.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Julie Benz has joined the cast of SAW V, the next
outing in the annual horror franchise. For those of you that don't know, Benz is a co-star
in Showtime's serial-killer drama DEXTER (one of our favorite shows) and she recently
appeared in theatres with RAMBO. She's also appearing in the upcoming sequel PUNISHER:
WAR ZONE. In Saw V Benz plays a Brit with clothes and hair too proper and elegant to be
a pawn in the latest games of Jigsaw. Production on the film began March 17 in Toronto;
an October 24 release is planned via Lionsgate. David Hackl -- the production designer on
the previous three SAW films -- is directing. Julie Benz joins fellow cast members Tobin
Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Mark Rolston and Samantha Lemole.
